Yup i said it fall fever!! I am just itching for cooler weather!! We are all just worn out from this heat!!!

Nova will be kidding in about a week!! Hope for a safe and easy kidding with her!! I am super excited about her she has a lovely udder coming in!!

Went a little crazy this year and our goat numbers grew!! Some exceptional does added as well as wonderful bucks!! Boy i sure can't wait for next years kidding season!!

Soap making is going like crazy!! Before the end of September we should have about 20 different soap fragrances and about half as much liquid soaps!!! We have expanded to 12 different kinds of lotion all amazing!!

This summer sure was busy and went by extremely fast. It was a great summer for the whole family!! We were able to do lots of camping and finish up some projects. I sure am ready for that cooler weather though!! It can't come soon enough! Yes i know i may be crazy but here in Montana we like it that way!!

It has been a while since I have posted on here. Sorry I have been neglecting the blog. Here is what has been happening!!! Last week our cows, Bessie and Maggie, blessed us with some healthy happy calves. They are wonderful mothers and did absolutely fantastic.

In about 2 weeks little Miss Nutmeg will be leaving for her new home. I will miss her so much.

Barns need to be cleaned, tattooing needs to be done and a round of first shots with in this week. Tema, Blue and Reba will be kidding very shortly and I am so excited to see what they are hiding in there!!

It has sure been crazy busy and eventful with all the new additions and spring time clean up around and so much more to do!! I love our crazy farm life and wouldn't trade it for the world!!

Oh and the garden needs to go in to!!!

Bring on the New Year!!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year!!!

I haven't updated the blog lately so I thought I would share what has been going on around the farm!!

First off Cinnamon, Nova, Tema and Blue are all confirmed pregnant!!! Maddie will be making her way to the breeding pen and the end of the month.

The whole herd also tested negative for CAE and CL! WOOHOOO!!! (I mean I wasn't worried or anything but it is good to know for sure!)

I bought my sweet younger girls some super fancy coats for our frigid temperatures and let's just say they were not thrilled!! Maddie is the only one who kept hers on and Cinnamon ripped hers off and pooped on it. I guess maybe she didn't like the color!!

I have stocked up my cabinet full of supplies for the upcoming kidding season. I cannot wait to see what these girls give me. And we are all missing the milk terribly. Cinnamon will start off the year she is due on March 6th. Which is my oldest daughters birthday!!! What a great treat to her that would be to have birthday babies!! Although I'm sure we will still need to take her to town for dinner babies or not!

AND....................WAIT FOR IT..................LOTION!!!! I will be making at least 2 or three batches tomorrow to stock the shelves full again!!!!

Stay tuned to here all about the adventures that happen on our small little farm! We are starting small but hope to grow and bring better milking lines into our herd and hopefully produce a great variation in colors! Maybe even this summer we will start to go to shows to show off our great talent!! Lots more to come.....

I am a stay at home mom of two wonderful daughters. We live on a small farm just outside of Dutton, MT. Besides being a mom I also run our small farm, sew, crochet, do photography and plenty more!! When I purchased my first two goats I just couldn't get enough of these guys. It started with just doing if for the wonderful milk and now for the milk and the love of goats!!
